This was our very first day of work on the mural. We had the task of whiting out the entire walls with gesso. We managed to finish by the end of the day! Little by little, everything is falling into place!
We used ladders and scaffolding to get into the higher, harder to reach areas.
Some of us focused on gesso-ing while others took turns in finishing our color sketches.
We had to first lay down layers of protective materials in order to ensure that the carpet didn't get ruined in the process. We don't want a mess and we don't want to get paint where it doesn't belong.

We were so ready to start! Everyone was so eager to start painting but step by step we'll eventually get there!
